HMCA Presents Roundtable Discussion on Broward Hispanics Fort Lauderdale, FL - The Hispanic Marketing & Communication Association, HMCA, will offer a seminar entitled "Broward Hispanics: Insights on Broward's Newest Immigrants,What the Statistics Don't Tell You" on Wednesday June 4, 2003 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The event, hosted by the Sun Sentinel/El Sentinel, will be held in the main floor of the Sun Sentinel Auditorium- 200 East Las Olas Blvd. The panelists include the Honorable Diana Wasserman-Rubin, Mayor Broward County Board of County Commissioners; Frank Nieves, President Puerto Rican Chamber of Commerce of Broward County, Deborah Ramirez, Editor El Sentinel, Gonzalo Soruco, Ph.D., Director of the University of Miami Hispanic Center (Oficina de Investigación Social y Comunicación), Denise Fischer, Manager of Research/Marketing Services, Sun-Sentinel, and Carlos Reyes, shareholder of Greenberg Traurig. Workshop panelists will discuss the characteristics and demographic profile of Broward's Hispanic populations, especially the most recent immigrants and share insights on how to market products and services to them. The new arrival data only underscore what the Census so poignantly points out: that south Broward County is rapidly becoming a middle to upper middle class Hispanic stronghold. The workshop will feature speakers discussing their experiences, opinions and insights on conducting business in Latin American markets. HMCA Offers Presentation Skills Workshop Miami, FL - The Hispanic Marketing & Communication Association, HMCA, will offer a half-day workshop entitled Presenting Effectively and Professionally to Hispanics on Tuesday, June 25. During the workshop, to be held from 1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at Nova Southeastern University (Kendall Campus), 8585 SW 124 Avenue, the instructor will discuss basic skills essential in addressing Hispanic audiences including individual presentations, planning the presentation, visual aids, body language, language, and keeping the audience’s attention. The workshop instructor is Joe Rodriguez, President of Global Innovation Leadership, Inc. Space is limited; prepayment and reservations are required.
